Padayatra has massive impact on people
Visakhapatnam, June 27, 2013: YSR Congress party senior leader Konatala Rama Krishna said on Thursday that Smt. Y.S. Sharmila’s Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra has a massive, serious and clear impact on the people.
Speaking to reporters at Chettupally in Visakhapatnam district on the occasion of Smt. Sharmila resuming her walkathon on the 192nd day, Ramakrishna said her Padayatra has strengthened the YSR Congress by leaps and bounds in the state.
“The party position is getting strengthened day by day with her Padayatra. Even in Telangana also, the party has a strong base of YSR fans in the area,” he said, accompanying the Padayatra of Sharmila.
Ramakrishna said the party has been gearing up for Panchayat elections with a clear strategy and party honourary president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma has been inspiring cadres through her speeches at the party regional meetings.
Sharmila resumes Padayatra
Earlier, Smt. Y.S.Sharmila resumed her Padayatra from Chettupally as thousands of people had followed her. Velankayapalem, Rolugunta, Bhogapuam, Kothakota and Dondapudi villages are listed on her Padaytra schedule for the day.
She has so far completed 2532.3 km of her Padayatra as on 191st day on Wednesday.
