Naidu’s Padayatra a sham: Sharmila
Nalgonda, Feb 9, 2013: On the 60th day of her Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra on Friday, Smt. Y.S. Sharmila continued her broadsides against TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu calling his Padayatra a sham.
Addressing a huge gathering of people who turned up to welcome her into the Nalgonda district at Mal village in Devarakonda constituency Friday evening, Smt. Sharmila told them that Naidu was making anti-Government speeches during his Padayatra on the one hand and refusing to introduce no-confidence motion against the anti-people Kiran Kumar Reddy-led Government on the other.
Reacting to Naidu stating he would introduce no-confidence motion depending on his necessity, Smt. Sharmila said Naidu’s necessity is only to escape investigation by CBI, ED and IT into his 9-year regime’s illegalities.
She said Naidu is likely to introduce no-confidence motion when the Congress feels no threat to its Government and gives the green signal to him. “He introduced the no-confidence motion against the Congress Government after Chiranjeevi’s PRP was merged with the Congress. Very recently, three of TDP MPs abstained from voting on FDI in the Rajya Sabha,” she said, adding these two events were proof of Naidu colluding with the Congress.
Taking a dig at Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy over his Nov 2011 statement of providing employment to 35 lakh people, Smt. Sharmila said instead of providing new employment opportunities to the youth, Kiran Kumar Reddy has been presiding over the downfall of the industry in the state sending lakhs of employees to the roads due to power crisis.
“Obviously, the present CM has been doing what once Naidu did as CM,” she said sarcastically.
