Naidu, a role model for Kiran: Sharmila
Vijayawada, April 4, 2013: In a subtle but blistering attack on Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Smt. Y. S. Sharmila has alleged he has taken the TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu as his role model.
Participating in a Rachchabanda programme at Vadlamannadu in Krishna District on Thursday, she said both Kiran Kumar and Naidu are very good friends and thanks to their friendship, the former has taken the latter as his role model.
“Kiran has abdicated people’s welfare as he has taken Naidu as his role model,” she said, adding that Naidu, being an adviser, has been guiding him on all anti-people decisions of the Government.
Smt. Sharmila said both of them are unconcerned about the people’s suffering with Kiran following the footsteps of Naidu and his policies. While Naidu has upped the power tariff eight times during his regime, Kiran has already hiked it four times, she remarked.
Pointing out that the present Government has not initiated any steps to build houses for the poor even on the land acquired and earmarked by the late YSR, she said YSRCP chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will build pucca houses for all poor people after becoming the CM.
“Women and farmers will also get interest-free loans when the YSRCP forms the Government with Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy as CM,” she said.
Smt. Sharmila lamented that all sections of people including farmers and industrialists are suffering heavily due to the longer power cuts and the inflated power bills.
