Hyderabad, Nov 12, 2013: YSR Congress Party on Tuesday charged the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu with enacting a political drama at the behest of Congress president Sonia Gandhi over the issue of bifurcation.

Addressing a press meet at the party central office here, party spokesman Ambati Rambabu said Naidu should spell out whether he is in the party founded by NTR (Anna) or in the party headed by Sonia Gandhi (Amma).

“Is it because Sonia instructed you not to attend the GoM discussions that you have opted not to represent your party?” he asked Naidu.

Rambabu said that Naidu, who had demanded economic package for the Seemandhra following the Congress working committee’s decision to carve out T state, has now opted not to submit a letter to the GoM in favour of keeping the state unified at the behest of Sonia Gandhi.

“Naidu, who has pledged the self-respect of the Telugu people at the feet of Congress, is behaving as if he has totally surrendered to Sonia,” he said, adding that he should immediately stop enacting dramas and submit a letter to the GoM demanding the Centre to keep AP united if he is sincere and concerned with the problems of the Seemandhra people.
