Mamata calls up Vijayamma

Hyderabad, July 8, 2013: Trinamool Congress leader and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has called up YSR Congress Honorary President YS Vijayamma and held talks on the national political scenario.

The West Bengal Chief Minister talked to YS Vijayamma on Sunday on phone and told her that the Lok Sabha elections are likely to be held be much before May 2014 and said the possibility of like-minded parties coming together should be explored.

She proposed that TMC, YSR Congress and other such parties can come together for the snap polls which are likely to be held in November.

Mamata Banerjee has asked YS Vijayama to take the issue to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and obtain his opinion on the issue.

Vijayamma has agreed to the proposal.

She also enquired about the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and gave a patient ear. She enquired about the cases foisted on him and recalled her association with Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy.

Mamata Banerjee is of the opinion that the snap polls would be held in November.
