Hyderabad, June 23, 2014: YSR Congress Party on Monday objected to Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad adjourning the assembly abruptly during the speech of the Leader of the Opposition Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Speaking to reporters after the adjournment, YSRCP MLA Srikanth Reddy said there was no seriousness on part of the TDP MLAs in running the House smoothly and discussing the people’s issues.

“TDP members disrupted our leader’s speech 17 times. Moreover, Speaker Kodela is acting as TDP man,” he said, adding the Speaker must run the House in an impartial manner.

“As the Speaker adjourned the House abruptly without giving an opportunity to our leader to finish his speech, he must allow him to resume his speech as soon as the House resumes session tomorrow,” party MLA Sridhar Reddy demanded.

Several other YSRCP MLAs also echoed similar sentiments."It is against the established tradition. Really, it is very said." they said.
