Kadiri Muslim leaders join YSRCP

Hyderabad, Oct 2, 2012: Hundreds of Muslims belonging to the Kadiri town in Anantapuram district joined the YSR Congress party here on Monday.

The Muslims, who belonged to the Congress and TDP, came to the party central office here in lorries and cars along with their leaders and joined the party in the presence of MP Mekapati Raja Mohana Reddy and Minority Cell convener HA Rehman. They vowed to work as disciplined soldiers of the party.

Welcoming them into the party, Mekapati and Rehman said it was a matter of happiness that Muslims have been joining the party in large numbers. “Muslims constituted majority in Kadiri town and we feel happy they have joined YSR Congress,” they said.

The leaders included congress leader Arif Ali,Muktiar Ali, SK.Farrook and TDP leaders Raji Reddy and Ramachari.

Former Minister Mahammad Shakir and former MLA Jonna Ramaiah also attended the programme.
