New Delhi, Oct 5, 2012: YSR Congress party president Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy’s counsel Gopal Subrahmanyam told the Supreme Court today that an accused has got every right to seek bail after the filing of charge sheet.

After the apex court rejected the bail petition of Jagan today, Subrahmanyam disagreed with the court view and told the judges that they should look into the case purely within the constitutional and legal frame work and not to go beyond.

“My client has come for bail but you have told him to extend his stay in jail. What is the law that dictates this?” he asked the judges. “How can you ask him to continue in jail till March 31, 2013? How justified is this?’ he questioned.

But the judges chose to ignore the topic while delivering their orders.
