New Delhi, Jan 16, 2013: YSR Congress Party honourary president Smt. Y. S. Vijayamma asserted that party president Sri Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s innocence has been proved beyond doubt in the people’s court several times after he came out of the Congress.

Addressing media persons at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi after meeting the President Sri Pranab Mukherjee along with party leaders Tuesday evening, Vijayamma said they have brought to the notice of the President the victimization of Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy by the CBI.

Sri Pranab Mukherjee listened to our complaint attentively and promised that he would look into the issue, she said after the meeting that lasted for 15 minutes. “The President said he will send the appeal and signatures to the Prime Minister,” Smt. Vijayamma disclosed.

“People have delivered their judgment proving Sri Jagan Mohan  Reddy innocent in each and every by election that was held in the state after he came out of the Congress,” she observed, adding that his arrest and jailing was the result of politics of conspiracy by TDP and Congress.

Smt. Vijayamma charged the CBI with keeping the party president in jail illegally for the last 8 months in the name of investigation. “The CBI has been prolonging the issue in the name of investigation and charge sheets. This is willful victimization of Jagan Mohan Reddy,” she accused the CBI.

Smt. Vijayamma said nearly 2 crore people have signed the appeal on behalf of Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and opposing his harassment by CBI which has been showing frivolous and mischievous reasons to deny bail to him.
