Jagan: Question Naidu on fake promises
Gannavaram, April 30, 2014: Continuing his tirade against TDP president Chandrababu Naidu, YSR Congress party chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy asked people to question him why he didn’t implement his promises during his 9-year term.
Addressing mammoth gatherings of people at Gannavaram and Guntur during his road shows in Krishna and Guntur districts Tuesday evening, Jagan Mohan Reddy told them that Naidu failed to solve the plethora of issues that haunted them during his term. “But now, he is coming to you again making bigger but non-implementable promises with the sole aim of gaining power,” Jagan Mohan Reddy told them, adding they should question him as to why he didn’t implement all those promises during his terms as CM.
Reiterating that he could not make such non-practicable promises like Chandrababu, Jagan Mohan Reddy said he would commit to the promises he made to the people till the last. “Before the elections, Chandrababu promised to continue Rs.2 Kg rice scheme and to bring prohibition but after the elections, he increased the price of the Rs. 2 kg rice scheme to Rs. 5 .25 paise and ordered reopening of all best shops,” he said , adding that Naidu never believed in his promises.
After the elections, Naidu’s TDP will not be there but he wants to come to power by hook or crook, he remarked.
Jagan Mohan Reddy reiterated that soon after coming to power he would sign the five files relating to the implementation of important welfare schemes.
