Hyderabad, March 12, 2014: Born in the pangs of struggle YSR Congress during the past three years has crossed innumerable hurdles and has been with the people all thorough and the silver lining is not far off as YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has emulated his father YSR in vision, words and deeds looking beyond regional, political, caste and creed paradigm that will roll in the golden era of a welfare state.

“YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stands as a true heir to YSR, whose welfare schemes have benefitted, farmers, students, women, weaker sections, minorities and others as I see in him the vision of YSR, who treated all regions equally and had the welfare of people of all regions on top of his mind, always.

The four-and-a-half year misrule of Congress has come to an end along with the opportunistic politics of TDP and with the whole hearted support people have been extending to the Party and our family, we are on the threshold of changing the course of the State and bring back golden rule YSR in a couple of months from now,” party Honorary President YS Vijayamma said on the Third Formation Day of the Party.

After unfurling the Party flag at the Central Office here on Wednesday, she said: “the immoral politics of Congress-BJP-TDP could bifurcate the state but it cannot divide the Telugu speaking people and their unity. People of all regions have benefitted from the welfare schemes of YSR and Jagan will continue the schemes, which were put on back burner by Congress as it has placed its personal gains above people’s welfare and TDP has been a party to every decision of the Congress.

“We look at Telugu people as one entity despite the division carried out by vested interests for political gains and we are continuing our legal battle on that front but I assure you that the welfare of people of all regions was on top of YSR mind and the Jagan has the same vision.

With YS Jagan Mohan Reddy taking up the same agenda of YSR and improvising it, the 130-year Congress and 30-TDP are frightened as they were never with the people during the past 4.5 years.

The loan waiver, jalayaganam and other schemes to benefit the farmers, fees reimbursement to students, hike in old age pensions, pavala vaddi for women groups, 4 % per cent reservations to minorities and other such schemes helped YSR to take a place in the hearts of the people and Jagan’s assurance to continue the welfare schemes and balance it with development activities show that he is marching in the footsteps of his father.

“We have taken up struggles on every anti-people decision of Congress and tried our best to keep the State united. With elections round the corner, it is time for the people to give a mandate. While Congress and TDP ran away from the people and responsibilities, YSR Congress was with the people. With a slew of elections, close on hand, we are celebrating the Foundation Day on a low key and soon after the people’s verdict we will make it big,” she said.

Kiran Kumar Reddy who clung on to his post till the last minute has now floated a new Party and is trying to be self-proclaimed leader of Samaikyandhra while TDP leader has given an unconditional letter for the division of state and helped Congress. Should we believe such parties?, she asked. Earlier, she garlanded the statue of YSR and paid rich tributes to him on the occasion.
