I will be with YSRCP, says Kavali MLA

Hyderabad, May 12: Brushing aside the reports in a section of media about his switching over, Kavli MLA Ramreddy Prathap Kumar Reddy has affirmed that he will stay put with YSR Congress Party despite luring and threats by ruling TDP.

‘TDP ministers have approached me with many assurances and even issued threats but I firmly told them that I will continue with YSR Congress Party, come what may,’ he told reporters here on Thursday.

Though I sternly refused to cross over, a section of media has been reporting stories that I would change sides. The reports are baseless and have come out without verifying the facts with me. It has been one-sided and not based on facts.

‘The TDP members have said that I would in trouble if I do not cooperate but it is my firm resolve to continue with YSRCP,’ he said.

While YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is taking up Jala Deeksha for the welfare of the people, TDP has been doing Dhana Deeksha in the form of buying MLAs. Buying MLAs does not inflate the base of the Party as the people have voted for YSRCP and not the leader who has moved out.

TDP has failed on all fronts and it could not persuade the Centre nor stop Telangana government from going ahead with the construction of irrigation projects which will be detrimental to the State, he said.
