I Respect The System
New Delhi: YSRCP MLA RK Roja stated that she had no intention of disrespecting the Legislative Assembly or the Chief Minister. She mentioned she had not even been given a chance to explain this in the assembly. She had approached the Supreme Court regarding her 1-year unfair suspension from the assembly. This came to trial in the Supreme Court today. Indira Jaising, the lawyer of MLA Roja explained how Chandrababu’s Government had unjustly suspended her. Public prosecutor VV Rao argued that Roja had to apologize.
In response to this, the Supreme Court suggested that both the parties had to act in harmony. It declared that apology was not necessary but explanation could be done and it was to be done to the speaker of the assembly.
MLA Roja opined that meaningful discussions had to happen in the assembly. She condemned the provocative statements made by the ruling party leaders against the opposition party leaders in the assembly. Roja suggested that the opposition leaders had to be given more time to mention the problems faced by people. Roja thus stated her opinion.
