ED singing the Yellow media tune
That the TDP and Congress have conspired together with the active cooperation of the yellow media against YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has been proved once again with a section of the yellow media publicizing stories about what the ED is going to do next in Jagan case.
It is now clear that the CBI’s leakage of news to the yellow media about its impending actions, which stopped after exposure of CBI Joint Director VV Lakshninarayana’s call data records, has been revived once again with Eenadu publishing in its Oct 11th issue a story saying that Enforcement Directorate is likely to attach Jagan’s properties worth Rs.2000 Cr in the Vanpic case soon.
If it is not a leak by the Enforcement Directorate, the agency needs to give a denial in the absence of which it would be taken for granted that the yellow media is at its dirty work again to influence the course of investigation.
YSRCP has been crying hoarse that the investigating agencies have been leaking information to Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy which have become tools unto themselves in running a vilification campaign against Jagan.
The tacit understanding between the yellow media and the probing agencies has all along been there to see with some sections of media, both print and electronic, disclosing well in advance about the impending course of action with relation to Jagan case.
Within hours of the ED gaining access to the charge sheet and related documents filed by the CBI in the Vanpic case on Wednesday, Eenadu published the story saying that the ED would once again interrogate Jagan and Nimmagadda Prasad in jail along with former minister Mopidevi Venkataramana and Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao in the case.
This is clear proof of planned and selective leaking of news to the yellow media which has been currying favor with the TDP, a party to the conspiracy against Jagan.
The central probing agencies have been carrying out this act unabashedly despite a case pending against such leaks in AP High Court. On July 2, the HC issued notices to CBI besides Union home Secretary, the BSNL, Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi on a PIL (Public interest Litigation) filed by one Bhavanam Bhushan against media leaks.
What else proof is required to buttress the facts that the conspirators against Jagan are very much active and taking forward it with a vengeance.
