  • Watering down YSR’s schemes shall not be tolerated
  • TYSRCP’s action plan regarding agricultural loan waiver
  • TYSRCP state president Gattu Srikanth Reddy

Hyderabad: TYSRCP’s state president Gattu Srikanth Reddy mentioned that watering down the schemes initiated by Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy for public welfare would not be tolerated. He criticised that CM KCR was wasting lakhs of crores of rupees of public funds in the name of projects.

Speaking to the media at the party’s central office in Hyderabad, he questioned if it had ever happened during YSR’s tenure that hospitals sent notices to the Government and the Government gave ultimatums to the hospitals. He criticised that Aarogya Shree saw a downfall within two years after KCR had come to power. He commented that the Rs.430 crore debt on Aarogya Shree scheme had been called quits with payment of meagre amounts. He questioned how reasonable was it to neglect payment of money to hospitals and ultimately poor people’s health.

Srikanth Reddy also reminded how YSR had introduced fees reimbursement scheme to make sure poor students went for higher education without hesitation. He slammed KCR for watering down such people-friendly schemes.

When will the projects be completed

Gattu questioned when the Rs. 3 lakh crore project initiated by KCR's Government without the consent of the people would be completed to provide water to farmers for irrigation. He opined that people would be able to get welfare schemes properly only when the state's annual budget was Rs.3.5 lakh crore. He reminded that KCR had promised to build one lakh houses soon after coming to power in Hyderabad city alone. Demanding to know how many houses had been sanctioned in the past 2.5 years, he reminded how YSR had sanctioned houses to everybody.

He remarked that KCR had not even ordered for survey on losses while the whole state was facing problems due to heavy rainfall. Mentioning that Karimnagar, Warangal, Nalgonda districts had suffered heavy losses, he stated how he had personally gone to the areas to console people. He demanded that the Government paid compensation to the farmers immediately.
Why were they joined in TRS?

Gattu demanded to know why KCR had joined in his party the leaders who had earlier spoken against Telangana movement. He suggested that KCR did not have to do surveys about possible strength in districts, as it would be revealed in the elections. He criticised that the Government was acting in a vengeful manner towards the leaders of the opposition who did fights and protest marches for people’s welfare.

He demanded the Government to waive agricultural loans as repeatedly promised and stated that TYSRCP would make an action plan pertaining to the loan waiver. He remarked that KCR had failed in all welfare activities except the provision of electricity. He questioned what had happened to the promises made regarding provision of one lakh jobs and irrigation water to one crore acres of land. He suggested that the Government should stop boasting and concentrate more on public welfare.
