Hyderabad, Aug 31, 2013: Doctors attending on fasting YSRCP Chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at the NIMS hospital here foiled his 7-day old Deeksha on Saturday by forcibly injecting him IV fluids despite his strong resistance.

Earlier, doctors announced that the fasting leader’s health has been fast deteriorating and he must be injected with fluids to prevent his health condition from worsening further. The doctors also informed the Chanchalguda jail authorities about his precari health condition.

The doctors have injected him the IV  fluids in the presence of his wife Smt, Y.S. Bharati after the jail officials directed the NIMS Director to forcibly foil his fast.

Earlier, Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy refused to call off his indefinite fast and told the doctors: “State interests are important to me than my life.  I will continue my Deeksha till justice is done. Don’t try to foil my Deeksha,”

Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy began his fast in the jail Sunday morning demanding the Centre to keep the state united if justice cannot be done to all regions by solving the connected issues such as water and power sharing, sharing of Hyderabad revenue, relocation of Government employees and the status of Hyderabad city.

With his health deteriorating rapidly, police shifted him to Osmania hospital Thursday night and as he refused to withdraw his fast and cooperate with doctors for treatment, his health condition worsened further. Last night, he was shifted to the NIMS by the police for better treatment.

Vijayamma, Bharati permitted by court to stay with him

The CBI court on Saturday permitted YSRCP honourary president Smt. Vijayamma and Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife Smt. Y.S. Bharati to stay beside him in the hospital and be helpful to him as long as he is treated by the doctors.

In response to an appeal made by Smt. Bharati, the court said both of them can be with him in the hospital from 8 am to 4 pm daily till the day he is discharged from the hospital.
