Mudinepally (Krishna Dt), April 6, 2013: Smt. Y.S. Sharmila accused the Congress of misusing the official machinery for its political survival and using the CBI to blackmail political opponents.

Addressing a hugely attended public meeting at Muninepally in Krishna district Friday evening, she said the Central Bureau of Investigation has now turned into a blackmailing outfit injecting oxygen into the dying Congress Government.

Quoting from Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav’s recent comments at a press meet that Congress would send political opponents to jail by instigating CBI and foisting cases, she said the Mulayam statement has substantiated the often-repeated charge that YSRCP chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has been arrested and jailed as he came of out the Congress and opposed its leadership.

“Mulayam said it is not easy to oppose the Congress as it will gnaw political opponents with its one thousand hoods lying with CBI indicating that he has been supporting the UPA Government under unavoidable circumstances,” she said, adding all other parties are also faulting the Centre for misusing CBI.

Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad’s statement that Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy would have become CM or a Union Minister if he had not left the Congress Party had also substantiated the claim that Congress was out to take political vendetta against him, she said.

At the instance of the Congress, CBI has been intentionally delaying the final charge sheet to deny bail to Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy, she said, asking the people to teach a fitting lesson to the Congress and TDP which has been supporting it.
