Cong-TDP nexus to the fore : Vijayamma

The nexus between Congress and TDP has come to the fore with Enforcement Directorate (ED) issuing orders attaching the assets of Sakshi Media House hours after TDP leaders meeting Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram and this move comes on the eve of the bail petition hearing by Supreme Court, YSRCP Honorary President YS Vijayamma has said.

“At a time when multitude of humanity is waiting for the apex court order to give bail to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, TDP leaders meet P Chidambaram and the ED, which works under Finance Ministry, issues orders attaching the assets of Sakshi group on the grounds that two pharma companies, Hetero and Aurobindo have invested in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s company after being benefitted from his father YSR government,” she told media at her Lotus Pond residence here on Thursday.

The ED order says that the two companies have benefitted to a tune of Rs 22 crores and have invested Rs 29 cores in the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Company. How someone can invest more than what they have benefitted is beyond reasonable comprehension, Vijayamma along with her daughter Sharmila said.

The amount invested by the two companies in Sakshi are in the form of shares like many others who have invested and there could be nothing illegal about it, she said adding that CBI and other law enforcing agencies are folding up tents in the Emaar case in which N Chandrababu Naidu is involved.

The TDP leader who gave prime land in heart of the city to IMG at Rs 50,00 per acre and Emaar at Rs 29 lakh per acre had sold the adjacent land belonging to his wife at Rs 1 core per acre three years earlier. Neither CBI nor ED preferred not to take notice of this anomaly, she said.

The nexus between the two Parties has come into the open and it has shown the shallowness of their political agenda and the level to which they can stoop to thwart the growth of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP. But we are confident that such mind games will not influence the judiciary and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will come out unscathed and lead the Party, she said.

Unable to tackle YSRCP democratically, the Congress and TDP have joined hands to stall the growth of our Party and foisted false cases with multiple charge-sheets and are trying to keep YS Jagan Mohan Redy in jail, though the mandatory 90 days is completed, she said adding that they believe in God and such cheap tricks unfolding on the eve of any important judicial development has become a practice to vested interests.

Since YSR is not available for comment and the Ministers are confused about the 26 GOs Congress and TDP are trying to play it to their advantage and keep YS Jagan Mohan Reddy out of scene as far as possible, she said.

“Though it is 130 days since the arrest of Jagan not a single charge was proved and he is still held under the pretext that he will influence the witnesses if granted bail. Whenever his application for bail comes up vested interests come out with some material that would disturb the situation and this has been the pattern. This time around, we have belief in God and the judiciary and pray that Jagan will get bail and things will fall in place,” she said.
