Hyderabad, Jan 2, 2013: YSR Congress party leaders and activists, who eschewed New Year celebrations protesting against the arrest and jailing of party president Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, have further intensified the ‘Jagan Kosam Janam Santhakam’ (People’s signature for Jagan) campaign across the state and elsewhere in the country.

The campaign, aimed at collecting one crore signatures of people highlighting the illegal arrest and victimization being meted out to Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy for the last seven months, is also underway in Maharashtra and some other states.

At party offices and signature collection centers, auto drivers, labourers, students, small employees, women, old people and others are turning up in huge numbers for affixing their signatures.

The party launched the campaign on Dec 21 at its central office with senior leaders Dr. Mysura Reddy, D.A.Somayajulu, Ravindra Naik, Konatala Ramakrishna and others affixing their initial signatures on the appeal which will be sent to the President of India Pranab Mukherjee.

The appeal will highlight the harassment YSR Congress Party president Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is being subjected to by the CBI.

The party launched the campaign with the intention of bringing to the notice of the President the vindictive politics being indulged in against him by Congress and TDP.
