  • Worthless people who cannot fight for special status
  • Babu and Venkaiah backstabbed people of AP
  • Ministers should be withdrawn from the cabinet
  • Babu should step aside if he is incapable
  • YS Jagan is ready to fight for the special status: Jogi Ramesh

Vijayawada: YSRCP’s official spokesman and ex MLA Jogi Ramesh demanded that Chandrababu announced his stand about the special status. He insisted that Babu came out and explain what he intended to do regarding the special status. He spoke to the media at the party’s office in Vijayawada.

Jogi Ramesh stated that the announcement of cabinet minister HB Chowdary saying that the state of AP would not be sanctioned special status had pushed the people of the state into distress. He demanded that CM Chandrababu brought pressure on the centre and withdrew his ministers from the cabinet.

Jogi Ramesh complained that Chandrababu had been bluffing people through media all these days saying that he had been to Delhi 22 times and that the centre was in favour of giving AP a special status. He declared that Chandrababu had been completely established as an incompetent CM with the announcement of HB Chowdary. Jogi Ramesh also slammed cabinet ministers Sujana Chowdary and Ashoka Gajapati Raju and TDP MPs for their inability to question the centre. He mentioned that if CM Chandrababu Naidu accepted his incapability and stepped aside, they were ready to run a united struggle under the leadership of YS Jagan for attaining the special status. He announced the readiness of YSRCP leaders for even martyrdom in this fight.

Special status is the right of the people of AP

Jogi Ramesh stated that they would exhibit their valour to let everybody know that special status was the right of the people of AP. He expressed displeasure towards Venkaiah Naidu’s silence at the time of bifurcation when he should have asked for 10 years of special status rather than 5. Ramesh opined that Chandrababu and Venkaiah Naidu had backstabbed the 5 crore people of the state. He commented that CM Chandrababu settled down in Amaravathi with the mask of capital construction and worked on political prostitution, buying one opposition MLA each day. He remarked that Babu would soon learn that opposition meant people and it was hard to buy people how many ever MLAs he bought.

Jogi Ramesh stated that Chandrababu, in spite of having rights on Hyderabad for 10 years, evaded the scene within 6 months out of his fear for KCR, having been caught in ‘note for vote’ case. He criticised that Chandrababu had mortgaged the state’s special status for his personal benefit. Jogi Ramesh opined that there was no need to plead countries like Singapore, Japan and China and that if the state was given special status, all the industrialists would themselves compete to come and invest here. He reminded that the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan had already done indefinite hunger strike for special status and held protests at Jantar Mantar of Delhi by inspiring the youth.
