Tirupati, Sept 3, 2013: Launching a blistering attack on the Congress for its unjustified and unilateral decision to bifurcate the state, Smt. Y. S. Sharmila asked the Centre to keep Andhra Pradesh united as it had failed to render equal justice to all regions of the state on the T issue.

Kicking off her Samaikya Sankharavam Bus Yatra at the sprawling Leela Mahal Centre here Monday evening, she addressed a sea of humanity that turned up to witnesses the launching. She said the Congress was enjoying the tamasha after igniting the division fire in the state with the blank cheque support given by the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.

Making it clear that she was blowing the bugle of Samaikya Sankharavam on behalf of YSR Congress Party Chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, she said the Congress has no right to take unilateral decision on the issue.

Calling the Congress autocratic decision on bifurcation as backstabbing of the Telugu people, Smt. Sharmila said 6 crore people of Seemandhra are opposing the bifurcation of the state. She asserted that YSRCP, CPM and MIM always opposed the decision to bifurcate the state.

Smt. Sharmila had accused Chandrababu of maintaining stoic silence to the threats served by the TRS leaders and to the destruction of the Seemandhra leaders’ statues on Tank Bund. “What right have you got to tour Seemandhra area after demanding 4 lakh crores of rupees to build a separate Capital city?” she questioned Naidu.

Asking the Centre and the Congress party not to go ahead with the bifurcation decision as there was no unanimity among the people, she said Hyderabad city has been built over a period of 60 years by all people?

“How can anyone say that Seema Andhra people should leave the city?” How can we build a similar capital city in 10 years? First of all, how can you go ahead with bifurcation without solving the issues of sharing of river waters and power and the revenue accruing from Hyderabad besides its status?” she posed, clearly asking the Centre not to go ahead with the bifurcation decision.

Party honourary president Smt. Vijayamma also spoke and asked the Centre to keep Andhra Pradesh united as majority people opposed the bifurcation.
