Washington DC, May 29, 2013: Protesting against the illegal incarceration of YSR Congress chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for the last one year, Telugu NRI s in Washington DC held a candle light rally Monday evening.

The NRIs, who assembled under the leadership of YSRCP NRI coordinator Vallur Ramesh at the Frying Pan Farm Park at the West Oaks Road here, made a silent protest holding candle lights and decried the CBI probe in Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy case.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh said both Congress and TDP had been worried of their political existence if Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy had continued to be amid people. “They have conspired and started using CBI as a political tool and sent him to jail,” he said.

Ramesh said that the YSRCP chief has become a victim of political vendetta and has been jailed for the last one year on judicial remand in false cases.

“A conspiracy is at work at Delhi level behind the harassment being meted out to Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy. People are watching and the day is not far off when both TDP and Congress will be taught a fitting lesson,” he warned.

Though TDP is the opposition officially, it is only the YSR Congress party which is fighting on behalf of the people, he said and remarked: “The more you suppress Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy, the more he will grow into a major political force that can usher in Rajanna Rajyam.”
