Amaravati: YSRCP MLAs Kasu Mahesh Reddy and Jogi Ramesh flayed BJP and TDP for making false and baseless allegations on the purchase of rapid testing kits at higher price from South Korea while they were available for lower price.
YSRCP asserted that the state government is transparent and there was a clause in the agreement that the excess amount would be refunded if there is a price variation.
Speaking to media here on Tuesday, the MLAs said while the State is leaving no stone unturned to contain COVID 19, TDP and BJP have been leveling false allegations.
While the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) markrd at Rs 790 the purchase rate of rapid test kits, the State purchased them Rs 730 per unit which is Rs 60 less than the price fixed by ICMR.
MLA Jogi Ramesh flayed Chandrababu Naidu for creating a panic situation in the state with his false allegations against the government.
Briefing the preventive measures being taken bybthe state government YSRCP MLAs said, like no other state in the country, Andhra Pradesh has a village secretariat system which is now a big asset in identifying positive cases. A comprehensive family survey has been conducted for three times across the state. PPEs, N-95 masks, required beds and facilities at quarantine centers and isolation wards were made available by the state government predicting the virus outbreak. Chief Minister’s timely review and instructions to officials made the system to implement the containment strategies strictly. In these tough situations, Naidu who claims to be an expert at crisis management is trying to spread rumors with his false allegations. The entire world is fighting against the coronavirus but Naidu is concerned only about politics, MLAs said.
