YS Jagan's govt does not discriminate between castes, classes and faiths

Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu

Senior YSR Congress Party leader and Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu lashed out at yellow media propaganda against YSRCP government and condemned attempts by the TDP and BJP to paint Andhra Pradesh government headed by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as an anti-Hindu one. Under Chandrababu's orders RTC tickets bore advertisements relating to various faiths and schemes. They also carried his name as per an order to RTC. It was specifically on the government's orders that Chandrababu's name was prominently featured on the reverse of bus tickets, Vishnu reminded media persons. The YSRCP leader told reporters that maximum damage to the prestige of Hindu faith was caused under TDP rule. Malladi Vishnu recalled that a number of priests took to the streets to protest against injustice to Hindu faith under the TDP regime. Similarly, 29 innocent pilgrims died at the Pushkarams under Chandrababu's watch.
It was in the TDP era that pujas which were violative of the shastras were held in Kanakadurga temple and other shrines. The TDP is trying to paint YSRCP as an anti-Hindu party after its miserable failure in the April 11 elections. The senior YSRCP leader said that action will taken against people indulging in malicious propaganda of this kind.
Kanna Laksminarayana, President of the APBJP made a comment of a similar nature referring to these tickets and the death of 100 cows in a gaushala and this was unfortunate, the YSRCP MLA said. What about deaths of cows in Simhachalam gaushala in the TDP era? Will the BJP acknowledge responsibility, he asked.
Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy was a true friend of Hindus and extended all help to archakas or priests, Vishnu recalled. Dr. YSR increased the budget for certain pujas and rituals in temples. Similarly, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's government views all segments of society equally. It does not discriminate between castes, classes and faiths, he pointed out.
The people of the state taught the TDP a fitting lesson and gave it 23 seats, he added. As regards the BJP, it did not get a single seat, he pointed out. It is ironical that these parties should criticise YSRCP, he added.
