70th Republic Day celebrations
Hyderabad: The 70th Republic Day celebrations kicked off on a grand note at the YSRCP headquarters in Hyderabad.
Party supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy hoisted the National Flag to mark the occasion. Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy, activists and YSR supporters participated in the celebrations.
YS Jagan observed that Indians were fortunate to have a magnificent Constitution, among the best in the world, which had come into force 69 years ago.
The YSR Congress Party chief remarked that the Constitution bestowed democratic rights in equal measure upon all citizens of the country. It was imperative to protect the spirit of the Constitution from forces out to undermine it. "We need to come together and wage a united struggle against such undemocratic forces", YS Jagan concluded, in his Republic Day message.
