Delhi: YSR Congress Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy questions Union Government regarding the funds granted to the state.
Responding to his question Central finance minister Arun Jaitley responded that Union government has granted Rs 62,168 crore from 2014 to 2 Feb 2019.
Talking about the funds issued under the special package he said that for sponsored schemes 90% has been spent by the Union government and 10% by the state.
Minister has declared that the loans taken under the Externally Aided Projects (EAP) from 2015-16 to 2019-20 will be paid back by the Union government and also the interest on the amounts is also being cleared by the centre.
Arun Jaitley added that Rs 15.81 crore has been released by the Union government to pay back the EPA signed in 2015-16. Senior BJP leader pointed out that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has even sent a letter of gratitude for granting Speical package to AP on 2 May 2017.
If the state government releases the utilisation certificates to the granted funds then other amounts also will be sanctioned in phases, he added.
