Tadepalli, April 5: YSRCP Minority Wing President Khader Basha stated that the Muslim communities of both Telugu states expressed their gratitude to YSRCP president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan for opposing the Waqf Amendment Bill. He emphasized that the three amendments suggested by Chandrababu offer no tangible benefits. He accused the TDP of deceiving the Muslim community entirely by supporting the Waqf Bill.
Addressing misinformation, he clarified that claims suggesting YSRCP voted against the bill in the Lok Sabha but in favor in the Rajya Sabha are false and part of a malicious propaganda campaign. YSRCP MP YV Subbareddy has also challenged those spreading such claims to provide evidence.
Khader Basha urged the TDP and Janasena parties to abandon their duplicitous stance. He further stated that despite electing three Muslim leaders, Chandrababu betrayed them. He asserted that the Muslim community has now recognized the injustices perpetrated by Chandrababu. Additionally, he criticized the TDP and Janasena for collaborating with the BJP to introduce oppressive laws. He pointed out that the Haj embarkation point in Vijayawada has been removed, further highlighting the neglect. In contrast, he praised the efforts of YSR in the past and YS Jagan presently for working toward the welfare of Muslims.
