KK line must remain with Vizag division

Visakhapatnam, Jan 21: Visakhapatnam District YSRCP President K.K. Raju condemned the Railway Board’s decision to finalise the Visakhapatnam Railway Division without the crucial Kothavalasa–Kirandul (KK) Line, stating that Chandrababu Naidu and coalition MPs have stood as silent spectators while Andhra Pradesh’s vital railway interests were handed over to Odisha.
Speaking at the YSRCP district office, he said the Centre has clearly prioritised Odisha by shifting the high-revenue KK Line and other income-generating North Andhra sections to the Rayagada Division under the Bhubaneswar-based zone, structurally weakening the Visakhapatnam Division and destroying its financial self-sufficiency. He questioned what the three Union Ministers from the state and coalition MPs were doing when the economic backbone of North Andhra was being removed.
