YSR Congress party president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

kadapa: Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress party president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said he was grateful to the people of Kadapa district, who stood by him like a rock after the untimely demise of the late Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy in 2009. He was addressing a massive gathering comprising booth committee members, representatives, coordinators, party workers and leaders at the 'Samara Sankhavaram' here on Thursday.

YS Jagan reminded party workers that his family shared a powerful emotional bond with the region. Dr. YSR represented the district for over three decades from 1978-2009. After his untimely demise in 2009, "Kadapa stood by me. I could face life after my father's death because of the support of the people, especially those from this part of the state," YS Jagan said. He added, "I drew strength from your support over the last few years, and I know how you suffered discrimination, violence and police atrocities." YS Jagan told party leaders and workers that rosy days lay ahead under Rajanna Rajyam.

The YSRCP chief said that people's welfare will be uppermost under Rajanna Rajyam and that welfare schemes will be rolled out without discrimination. He reminded party leaders and workers that election schedule would be announced soon. YS Jagan said that it was the responsibility of every single party worker to ensure the victory of the party and work towards ushering in Rajanna Rajyam.
