Chandrababu hiding Adani’s role to deny credit to YS Jagan: Margani Bharat

Rajahmundry, October 25: Former MP Margani Bharat has lashed out at Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh for spreading false propaganda over the Visakhapatnam Data Center, asserting that the agreement with Adani Group was signed during Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government. Addressing the media at the YSR Congress Party office in Rajahmundry, Bharat said, “Adani, Google, and Airtel are jointly developing the Data Center. It was initiated under YSRCP’s tenure, with discussions held with the Singapore government for the submarine cable. Yet Chandrababu hides Adani’s role to deny credit to YS Jagan.”
Bharat slammed Chandrababu’s “habitual credit theft,” recalling how Naidu falsely claims to have brought Microsoft to Hyderabad and Google to Visakhapatnam. “Satya Nadella joined Microsoft in 1992, three years before Chandrababu became CM. Still, he boasts as if he made it happen. Even when Sundar Pichai mentioned discussions with the Prime Minister about the Data Center, Chandrababu shamelessly hijacked that narrative,” Bharat said. He added that Hyderabad’s true infrastructure growth,  including the PVNR Expressway, Outer Ring Road, and Shamshabad Airport,  occurred under Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, not Naidu. “Beyond one building, Chandrababu did nothing for IT. Bengaluru is India’s tech hub, not because of him,” he asserted.
Bharat criticized the coalition government’s failure to protect women and children, citing the Tuni and Rajahmundry assault incidents. “A Class 10 BC hostel girl was abducted and assaulted, but police took eyewash actions while ministers remained silent. When we stood by the victim, cases were filed against us. Is this justice?” he asked. He condemned police harassment of protesting women, recounting how a BC woman who protested was detained for hours and repeatedly interrogated. “This is pure vindictive policing,” Bharat said.
Holding the government accountable for the statewide liquor menace, Bharat said, “Liquor flows like rivers across the state. Belt shops, illegal bars, and spurious liquor units thrive under political protection. Even ruling leaders are running these deadly trades like cottage industries.” He cited leaked audio clips from Rajahmundry’s liquor syndicate as proof of corruption.
Bharat also condemned the Kurnool bus tragedy, where 19 lives were lost in a bus that had no fitness certificate, no insurance, and 16 e-challans. “Such criminal negligence demands suo motu action by the courts. The government has lost its moral right to continue,” he said.
Targeting Rajahmundry MLA Adireddy Vasu, Bharat said his “indecent behavior and political arrogance reflect governance decay.” He reminded that Y.S. Jagan had politically nurtured the Adireddy family, giving them an MLC post, only for them to defect to TDP for personal gain.
Concluding, Bharat announced a massive rally on October 28 in Rajahmundry to protest the privatization of government medical colleges, declaring, “We will resist any attempt to sell public healthcare and education. These are rights, not commodities.”
