Chandrababu fled to Hyderabad at the time of floods

 Ambati Rambabu

Amaravati: Senior YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu lashed out at former chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu for his statement that the floods were man-made and were aimed at submerging his house. Rambabu pointed out that Chandrababu lived in a rented house of an illegally constructed building.
The YSRCP leader slammed Chandrababu for playing the victim card and said that trying to politicise floods was low-level politics being played by the TDP. Chandrababu's attempts to play the victim card were laughable, he said. Moreover, the TDP chief's statement that the floods were intended to submerge his house was immature, he said. There were clear guidelines on the lifting of crest which had nothing to do with extraneous factors. He found it amateurish that Chandrababu should attribute motives and claim that it was being done to submerge his house.
Ambati Rambabu pointed out that Chandrababu fled to Hyderabad at the time of floods instead of staying put and being of help to the poor. The TDP lost the confidence of the people because of such self-centric and petty politics. Rambabu said that it was lack of maturity on Chandrababu's part to blame the YSRCP government for his house getting flooded. He reminded the TDP supremo that the house he was living in on the banks of river Krishna, was an illegal construction.
