Amaravati: Education minister of Andhra Pradesh, Adimulapu Suresh flayed former chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu for acting like a brand ambassador of corporate education.
Suresh criticised Chandrababu for attempting to gift government land to private universities and corporate educational institutions. He slammed the former chief minister for diluting government education totally and focussing on corporate institutions.
In the process, government universities suffered immensely, he said. The education minister of Andhra Pradesh said that the YSRCP government would adhere to the policy of fee reimbursement as announced by the chief minister. This was one of the election promises of the party and a part of the manifesto which the chief minister had likened to a Holy book like the Gita, Bible or Quran. Suresh added that engineering colleges in the state would start functioning from the fifth of August.
