Hyderabad: YSR Congress leader and MLA Buggana Rajendranath Reddy flayed the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu over the deletion of voters from the electoral rolls.
The leader of the opposition Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy complained to the Governor ESL Narasimhan over the issue of fake surveys and removal of names from the rolls.Buggaba Rajendranath spoke to the media and said Chandrababu has been creating an enormous amount of bogus voters for his electoral benefits.
He remarked that it is because of Chandrababu’s actions a large number of names are missing from the lists and in other instance, one person has more than one vote.
Public Accounts Chairman pointed out that the responsibility of taking out fake votes from the list relies on the government but, here the government is itself adding fake voters. Quoting the facts Buggana said that there are a total of 3.69 crore voters in the state of AP and of them close to 60 lakhs are fake voters.
The government is conducting authorized surveys, RTG surveys and finally, people are questioned who they are planning to vote for? Questioning over the same, YSRCP leader said how can government ask such questions in a survey.
Buggana Rajendranath observed that under the garb of surveys they are taking off the names of YSRCP supporters from the rolls and the party has complained to the central election commission and state governor.
He added that the TDP is trying to distribute money to the voters and as election notification is going to be announced in another 15 days they are getting people to take oaths to vote only for their party.YSRCP leader remarked that TDP is appointing officials from a particular community to higher positions in the month of November and December. This has been reported to the governor, he added.
Other issues raised before the governor by YS Jagan were that free and fair elections should be held in the state and all the fake voters should be taken out from the rolls, Bugggana said.
