AP budget is Chandrababu's latest and third film

YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy remarked that the sixth budget of AP presented recently was AP chief minister's latest and third film. It was a super flop at that, YS Jagan observed. He was addressing a massive gathering comprising booth committee members, representatives, coordinators, party workers and leaders at the 'Samara Sankhavaram' here on Thursday.

Budget 6, the recently released super flop film by Chandrababu was an unethical exercise, he observed. The AP chief minister has no idea who is going to come to power with elections around the corner. Chandrababu Naidu was out to deceive people with a pre-election budget, he pointed out. The TDP came up with 6 budgets intead of 5, including a budget for a period in which Chandrababu is certainly not going to be in power.

YS Jagan told party leaders and workers that Chandrababu gave Andhra Pradesh three movies. The first was in 2014 when he made a number of promises. The TDP supremo said agricultural loans will be waived, gold will be brought home from banks, minimum support price would be extended to farmers, DWCRA loans will be waived, jobs would be given to the unemployed, Rs. 2,000 would be given as unemployment allowance, belt shops would be scrapped, regularisation of contract jobs, vacancies in government would be filled up through APPSC notifications, mineral water to each home, completion of Polavaram project in 3 years, bullet train for AP, and ring roads for all cities in AP, among many others.

YS Jagan ridiculed Chandrababu saying the TDP supremo appeared to have done a Ph.D in deceiving castes. He had promised to include Rajakas, Kurubas and fishermen in SCs and Kapus in BCs in 2014. The YSRCP chief asked the massive gathering of partymen whether Chandrababu Naidu had fulfilled at least one promise, among these.

Movie 2

Chandrababu came up with another movie of deception 6 months before elections, he said. After being an ally of the BJP in the NDA in the Centre and state for 4 years, the TDP chief was now pretending to distance himself from the ruling party at the Centre. He 'dedicated' the Polavaram project to the people of the state which was a joke because the foundation wall had barely been completed.

Chandrababu has suddenly woken to Special Category Status (SCS) and is comically enough, taking up a black shirt protest demanding SCS. In 2014, DWCRA loans amounted to Rs. 14,0000 crore before Chandrababu came to power and have now risen to Rs. 25,000 crore. Now, the TDP chief comes up with Pasupu-Kumkuma scheme, which is nothing but a drama to woo women voters.

Chandrababu sheds crocodile tears for farmers and promises 5000 crore rupees them, when ironically, his cheques to farmers are bouncing. Questioned about Amaravati, the AP chief minister presents graphics on the scale of Baahubali, YS Jagan said. In his desperation the TDP chief was copying Navaratnalu and everything YS Jagan had promised. Chandrababu promised to scrap tax on autos and tractors after YS Jagan had promised this several times during the course of his Padayatra.

Similarly, taking a leaf out of YS Jagan's book, the TDP chief wore an auto driver's shirt. He also promised a corporation to communities on the lines announced by YS Jagan. Chandrababu who made 119 promises to BCs in 2014, now goes to Rajahmundry for BC declaration. He promised a pay hike out of the blue for home guards and Asha workers among others after YS Jagan had promised them a pay enhancement several times during the course of his 14 month-long Padayatra.
