Amaravati, April 15: Brushing aside the allegations made by Chandrababu Naidu, the Group of Ministers (GoM) said that the official data was accurate and Naidu is not in a position to judge the gravity of the situation sitting in Hyderabad.
Minister for health Alla Nani flayed Chandrababu for his false claims on government hiding the number of COVID-19 cases.
Speaking to media here on Wednesday, he challenged Naidu to prove his allegations and said the TDP leader was trying to politicize COVID-19 as well.
Naidu and his son Lokesh are not worried about the state people and are hiding in Hyderabad. They have not visited Kuppam or Managalagiri.
Meanwhile, Minister for Urban Development Botsa Satyanarayana said while the state government is putting efforts in scaling up the COVID-19 tests from 2,000 a day to 4,000 every day, TDP is trying to irk the government in all the possible ways to politicize the issue.
He said that the government is relentlessly working at these tough times and COVID-19 tests are being conducted straight away at the households. The second phase of the ration distribution will start on April 16 and salaries are being paid to emergency staff.
Minister lambasted Naidu and Yanamala Ramakrishnudu for their false allegations on the number of COVID-19 cases and said that this is not appropriate for the opposition leaders to play such cheap politics during this time.
