Unsafe water takes 15 lives, Why is Chandrababu silent?

Despite all the hype and hoopla about provision of safe drinking water under the ambitious NTR Sujala Surakshita drinking water scheme, the common man is still deprived of safe and healthy drinking water. In Guntur, the city closest to the ‘world-class capital’ that Chandrababu Naidu is promising to build, more than 15 people have died due to diarrhea caused mainly by the contaminated drinking water.
A staggering 1600 persons have been hospitalized so far in Guntur city alone. But the State Government is doing everything it can to suppress the news. It is drying to show less number of deaths. It is claiming that only six persons have died due to contaminated water.
Chandrababu Naidu, who claims to know about every small happening in the state through his dashboard, has remained deafeningly silent. It is unfortunate that he is chosing to stay mum on the issue. He has not held even a single meeting so far on the issue and has not issued any directions to the government. The people of Guntur were wondering why they had voted for him.
