Only YSRCP has credibility - YS Jagan

Warangal, Nov 19: In a fervent appeal to
vote for YSR Congress to infuse values and credibility into politics, YS Jagan
Mohan Reddy has asked the people reject the inefficient TRS and other parties
which are not trustworthy.

‘The growing number of farmer suicides
stemming from the distress due to failure to secure loans after becoming
defaulters as the TRS Government failed to waive loans besides forcing the
by-election on flimsy grounds as if there is no dalit MLA in the district to be
KCR’s deputy besides, its lack of efficiency in governance has put many
sections of people in disarray,’ YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said while addressing a
public meeting as part of the electioneering to the Lok Sabha elections.

While TRS did not live up to the
expectations during its 18 months of governance, Congress has been vindictive
towards the family of YSR, whose welfare schemes have percolated to the poorest
of the poor touching every family. TDP has shown its true colours of deceptive
politics and it has no moral right to seek votes for its ally and BJP has gone
back on the promises during the division of the state.

A first step towards bringing back YSR
golden era would be to elect YSR Congress candidate Nalla Surya Prakash and
rejecting other parties as only our party has credibility and values, he said. The
election promises of 3 acres land to weaker sections went for a toss as KCR had
distributed only 1,600 acres during his term while YSR had disbursed 20 lakh
acres of land when he was in office. Fees reimbursement scheme was brought in
by YSR to make professional courses affordable to weaker sections but the state
has watered down the scheme and has an arrears of over 1,500 crores and the
managements are pressing the students to pay fees.

YSR has made quality medicare affordable
to weaker sections through Aarogyasri and the state has been neglecting it and
did not add a single ambulance. Cotton which is grown in large extent in the
district has been rejected by the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) on some
flimsy ground and the farmers are not even getting Rs 3,500 per quintal while
the MSP is fixed at Rs 4,100. During YSR term the same cotton was sold at Rs
6,700 per quintal, he said.

The prices of red gram, black gram, green
gram and onions have double during the last year and KCR government could not
control the prices, he said and appealed the voters to strengthen the hands of
the party by electing the nominee with a large majority.
