No Jobs In AP, Youth In Distress

Lack of employment opportunities in both government and private sectors brought the unemployed youth in deep distress. In some instances, youth also committed suicide.  In a fresh incident, two unemployed youth hanged to death themselves unable to cope with the distress.

The suicide cases were reported at a time when state IT Minister N Lokesh made promise the creation of one lakh jobs in IT sector and two lakh employment opportunities in Electronics by 2019.

The victims purportedly wrote in the suicide  letter that they are taking the extreme step for not getting job opportunities either in public or private sectors..

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh are confined to making statements on the establishment of IT companies Vijayawada,  Tirupati and Visakhapatnam.  The ground reality is no new companies came up in the above cities since three years.

Lokesh claimed his government created 22,000 in IT and 40,000 jobs  in Electronics in the last three years. The billion dollar question is how the government will achieve the target set by Lokesh in the creation of jobs with the present slow pace of investments in Andhra.

YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy attributed the denial of special status to Andhra was one of the main reasons for increasing unemployment in Andhra.  AP would have got huge investments in industrial sector if the state is accorded special status.  He wondered how the government will provide 3 lakh job opportunities when it failed to create 50, 000 opportunities in a year.
