Chandrababu Politicises Special Status

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been exploiting special status issue for his political gains for the last three years.

Though  the main opposition in Andhra Pradesh YSR Congress Party has been fighting to the cause of Andhra people,  the TDP was creating hurdles at every stage to obstruct the fulfillment of the promise of special status to the residuary state of Andhra.

Chandrababu colluded with ruling BJP at the centre and accepted the special package in lieu of special status.  He ditched people by making the promise of according special status for 15 years in the last elections. Fearing he will be arrested in cash for vote scam, Chandrababu compromised with the centre on the particular issue.

YSR Congress Party intensified fight for special status and its MPs also relinquished their posts but the ruling TDP MPs did not follow the suit to mount the pressure on the union government.

After snapping ties with BJP, the AP CM unfolded another political drama.  His approach towards Congress has been changed.  He expressed soft corner on Congress and trying to ally with Congress in next elections.  It was Chandrababu who fought tooth and nail against Congress at the time of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
