Chandrababu Holds Deeksha For Publicity Only

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu unfolded a big drama by staging a one day deeksha on special status for Andhra Pradesh. Incurring Rs 30 crore expenditure in the stage managed event, the chief minister tried hard to convince people through a big media publicity but failed.
The TDP chief has maintained stoic silence on special status for the last four years. The CM sharing the dais with Prime minister Narendra Modi made promise that he will accord special status to residuary state of AP for 15 years in 2014 elections. After coming to power, Chandrababu colluded with ruling BJP led NDA and favoured special package in lieu of special status.
When the government booked cases against people who were fighting for the cause, YSR Congress party President YS Jagan MOhan Reddy stood by them and strengthened the movement further.
