Chandrababu becomes paranoid

Hyderabad: Reaffirming that Chandrababu Naidu has become paranoid and the withdrawal of consent for CBI to operate in Andhra Pradesh is one such fear which is pushing the State towards decay, YSR Congress has said adding that the chief minister has breached many a democratic and constitutional norms while sharing power with the Centre and even after pulling out of NDA and demanded the cancellation of latest GO.
‘TDP Government has issued a GO in August, in the process of renewal, giving consent for the CBI to operate in the state and it was withdrawn by issuing another GO on November 8, 2018 besides leaking it through its friendly media which projected Chandrababu Naidu as a person taking on the Centre but it looks ridiculous as he has been a habitual law breaker whether he is a partner of Centre or out of the coalition,’ party leaders Buggana Rajendernath Reddy and Ummareddy Venkateswarlu told reporters here on Friday.
A cursory look at the developments between the date of renewing the consent, in August, and withdrawing the consent, November, shows that the major development that took place in between was the attack on Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who moved the court seeking a judicial or CBI inquiry.
‘Chandrababu Naidu always works for his personal interest and not for people’s interest. Earlier, when there were Income Tax raids, he raised a hue and cry and went to the extent of stating that the Centre has targeted him and his Party. The raids were not on general public and was on tax violators, some of them could be TDP leaders but the way he started shouting that the IT officials will not be given police protection only shows that he is paranoid and afraid that his dark deals will come out if there is a probe.
The withdrawal on consent for allowing CBI to operate within the State comes close on the heels of YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy moving the Court seeking investigation in the attack on him at Vizag Airport on October 25 by the Central Agency as the state police were not fair.
Even when he was with the NDA coalition, he had violated the constitutional provisions by luring 23 MLAs and 3 MPs of Opposition Party and inducting four of them into the cabinet. Only because Chandrababu Naidu had good relations with the Centre he could get away with serious violations of FRBM (Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management) Act by raising huge amounts of loans and pushing the state to the brink of insolvency. When 29 persons lost their lives in the Godavari Pushkarams stampede, not a single person was held responsible and he has violated many provisions of State Reorganisation Act as well,’ they said.
The latest partner of TDP, Congress, has been seeking a CBI probe into Rafale deal on one hand and the junior partner says that it will not allow CBI to work in the state which looks ironical. We demand that the GO issued withdrawing consent for CBI to operate in Andhra Pradesh should be withdrawn forthwith as it puts the state in poor light, they said.
