SC verdict, unfortunate, YSRC: July 23, 2012

Hyderabad, July 23: Describing as unfortunate, Supreme Court rejecting the appeal of YS Vijayamma against N Chandrababu Naidu’s disproportionate assets, YSRC on Monday said different rules seems to have been in play in different cases.
“We did not get the copy of the court order, but the cases of economic offences against some leaders appear to be politically motivated and the same yardstick does not appear to apply equally to all,” party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma said.
Be it Mulayam Singh Yadav (Samajwadi Party), Jayalalithaa (AIADMK), YS Jagan Mohan Reddy (YSRC) the cases seems to be politically motivated. When it comes to N Chandrababu Naidu (TDP) the rules to be appear to be a shade different.
YS Vijayamma has moved Supreme Court against the High Court verdict which rejected her plea against the disproportionate assets of N Chandrababu Naidu.
“However, rejecting the petition does not mean that it has given a clean chit to N Chandrababu Naidu,” she said.
The Supreme Court has suggested that the various issues raised in the petition can be sent to the respective departments, which include CBI, Enforcement Directorate and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
We do not treat this verdict as a setback. We will discuss the issue at our party level and chalk out future course of action, she said.
