Press Note -jan30,2012

Brushing aside the rumors that the arrest of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is nearing, YSR Congress Party has said that CBI is unable to justify the arrests it had already made while the State Government is pursuing with its agenda of trying to stall further growth of the party.
“The double standards of CBI have come into the open with the agency telling the court that it has no (no) objection in granting bail to Tummala Ranga Rao as he is cooperating, on the very same day of the arrest of Sunil Reddy, who was named by him,” Party senior leader Konathala Ramakrishna told reporters here on Monday.
Using Section 164 as a shield, the CBI is arresting any one named in the statement or report of any accused so was Vijay Sai Reddy arrested based on the Share Valuation Report given by Dloitte and Sunil Reddy based on Ranga Rao’s version, he said.
On the other hand, CBI has not touched the person who was at the helm of affairs when the agreement took place nor were the concerned departments named as accused were questioned by the Agency, he said. CBI is unable to establish any proof from the arrested persons as it was adopting a pick and choose method in arrests.
The Congress is resorting to vindictive tactics as a recent survey had shown that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is emerging as a force to reckon with and the smaller parties will have their say in the ensuing elections while Congress rating is on the slide.
This is the reason why the Congress is going back on conducting any elections in the State including local and civic elections, he said.

YS Vijayamma writes to Prime Minister
YSR Congress Party, Honorary President, YS Vijayamma has written a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh detailing the sorry state of affairs of the State in terms of vindictive attitude of the State Government and CBI,  Ramakrishna, who is also the coordinator of Political Affairs Committee of the Party, said
She has narrated in detail the methodology being adopted by Government to stall the growth of YSR Congress Party while the CBI has been adopting double standards in its investigation.
The party is using CBI as a weapon on YSRC Party, she said in the letter and narrated the origins of the scam and how regulations were deviated to favor Koneru Ranaga Rao and his Emaar Company.
Some of the statements were also misleading as YSR government has given only 0.13TMC water to India Cements for its operations in the State while the complaint went as 13 TMC of water, the letter said.
