Clean chit to Dharmana exposes Cong double standards

Press Release

Hyderabad, November 24: State cabinet giving a clean chit
to Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasad Rao in the 26 GOs case has
exposed the double standards of Congress and its vindictive attitude towards
YSR family members with the sole aim to keep YS Jagan Mohan Reddy away from the
people using CBI as a tool to settle political scores, YSR Congress leaders
Konatala Ramakrishna and DA Somayajulu have said.

“The State did not file a counter in court in
the 26 GOs case as it wanted to keep YS Jagan in jail as there would be no fit
case had it defended the GOs contending that they were in tune with the
government policies. It allowed things to go its way by using CBI to arrest YS
Jagan Mohan Reddy (52nd respondent)
unlawfully while the first ten respondents in the case were allowed to go
free,” they told reporters here on Saturday.

As a prelude to Jagan’s arrest, the
State has sacrificed Mopidevi Venkataramana to showcase their fairness but the
cabinet decision to give a clean chit to Dharmana has exposed its double
standards standards and its intention of trying to keep Jagan away from people,
they said adding that if the State feels that Dharmana Prasada Rao did not
flout any rules and acted as per the prevailing laws the same should be told to
the Supreme Court in the form of an affidavit.

“Though the April 30 deadline to
file a counter has expired the State did not respond and has now come up with
the clean chit decision which brings to the fore the intention of Congress
Party. It has been using CBI as a tool to settle political scores,” they said.

If the GOs are proper and Dharmana
is clean, there is no case against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as the Congress and TDP
leaders in the PIL contended that some private persons have benefitted from the
GOs who in turn have invested in the Companies of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, they
said. The same argument which absolved Dharmana of all charges should be sent
to Supreme Court.

Not surprised
at chopper probe report

The DGCA report on the YSR
helicopter crash tabled in the House is on expected lines and we are not
surprised by the findings as they would be no different that what the
Government intends to say.

“We reiterate that a full-fledged
probe by a sitting judge should be ordered into the incident which only can
bring out the facts. The point that 26-minute recording from the black box was
missing clearly indicates a possible conspiracy. The difference of opinion
between the pilot and co-pilot too point towards sabotage, hence we demand an
inquiry by a sitting judge,” they said.

Chandrababu Naidu's claims brushed asideBrushing aside the promises and claims of TDP president N
Chandrababu Naidu, they said, he has been telling blatant lies. His claim that
he was instrumental in the farmers' loan waiver scheme is ridiculous. At no
point of time did he mention it and on the contrary, he declined YSR’s request
on free power when TDP was the ruling party, they said.

Sharmila's Padayatra

Sharmila’s padayatra in Telangana
region is getting very good response and the welfare schemes of YSR have been
reflecting in the support the Maro Praja Prasthanam has been getting.
