YSRCP intensifies stir across the state

Hyderabad, April 3,
2013: Demanding the Government to reduce the hefty hike in power tariff, YSR
Congress party leaders and activists on Wednesday staged demonstrations and
resorted to Rasta Roko in several towns across the state.
Raising slogans against
the Government and asking it to bring down the power tariff to its normal
level, party activists organized rallies and staged demonstrations in front of
the electricity offices at Secunderabad, Anakapally, Kakinada, Mylavaram,
Kandukuru, Markapuram, Dornakal, Station Ghanapur, Nalgonda, Sangaraeddy,
Siddipeta, Patancheru, Khammam, Vyra, Nizamabad, Kadapa, Prodduturu,
Anantapuram, Kadiri and Chittor.
At most places, YSRCP
activists and leaders laid siege to the electricity offices and brought traffic
to a standstill by resorting to Rasta Roko, while at other places the activists
tried to lay siege to sub-stations.
At Anakapally and Vyra
towns, YSRCP leaders and activists have also resorted to relay hunger strikes
demanding the Government to reduce the power tariff.
At Kadiri, party
activists have organized a rally and conducted last rites to the effigy of
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.
