YSRCP calls for AP Bandh

Hyderabad, August 27, 2012: Protesting against the unscheduled power cuts in the State, the YSR Congress Party on Sunday called for a state-wide bandh on August 31.
The party also called upon its rank and file to stage dharnas and rallies across Mandal headquarters in the State for three days from August 28.
In a media statement, the YSRCP stated that the dharnas and rallies would highlight the government's failure to address the power crisis.
The YSRCP activists would lay siege to power sub-stations in villages and picket DISCOM offices in the Mandal and District headquarters from August 28.
The YSRCP said that, due to severe energy crisis, all sections of people are facing problems and managements have been laying off staff due to power outages. This would cause social unrest in the society.
The YSRCP alleged that, despite state witnessing serious power problem, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy failed to respond on the issue properly and did not initiate any alternative measures to tide over the problem.
