Leader of Opposition in AP assembly and YSRCP President YS Jagan, took to Twitter to stress upon the significance of Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh. He also spelt out the strategy of the YSRCP in the days to come. The YSRCP Chief pointed out in his first tweet last night that SCS to the state was synonymous with job opportunities. The underlying message, clearly is that SCS would open up several new employment avenues to the youth of Andhra Pradesh.
The tweet further said that students across AP would hold protests at university campuses against the Centre for denial of SCS to AP. YS Jagan added that students and party men will also hold hunger strikes in every mandal, village and district headquarters.
"SCS is synonymous to job opportunities for the youth! Students in AP will hold protests at University campuses against Central Govt for not granting SCS. Across the state, students & YSRCP cadres will hold relay hunger strikes at every mandal, village, assembly & district level. SCS is our right! If not granted, YSRCP MPs will resign the day Parliament is adjourned sine die & go on an indefinite hunger strike at AP Bhawan,New Delhi. In the interest of AP&for future of our youth @ncbn make TDP MPs resign as well. YSRCP will continue its fight for SCS," YS Jagan tweeted.
