YSRCP to toe agitation path

Hyderabad,
Sept 9, 2014: YSR Congress Party will highlight the failures of TDP government in
implementing the election promises, more so the loan waiver of farmers and
women groups, and take up agitation programmes besides taking steps to
strengthen the Party from village level.

“A
decision to this effect was taken at a State-level meeting chaired by Party
President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The meeting has chalked out a programme to
strengthen the Party by forming committees at village and mandal level and
carry out the agitation programme against the state government,” party senior
leader Ummareddy Venkateswarlu, Vasireddy Padma and Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy
told reporters here on Tuesday.

“The
agitation programme will be in October beginning with mandal level and will
escalate to district level and an action plan is also being chalked out with YS
Jagan Mohan Reddy taking the lead,” they said.

State
level committees earlier were formed for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as well.

Initially,
the focus will be on strengthening the organizational structure from village
and ward level along with affiliated bodies like the student, women, SC, BC and
other wings.

At each
level the Party has decided to appointed observers from outside who will work
with local leaders to strengthen the Party covering all constituencies, they
said.

The
shoddy manner in which TDP is governing the state will be questioned at all
levels and the loan waiver issue will be highlighted during the agitation
programme, details of which will be released later, they said.
