YSRCP Student Wing Launches Fight For Special Status In Universities

YSR Congress Party student wing has launched a movement for special status to Andhra Pradesh in the universities. The students already called  bandh in Visakhapatnam and Anantapur universities on February one and also staged ' Vanta- Vaarpu' in the University premises.

Participating in the dharna,  YSR Congress MLC V Gopal Reddy came down heavily on the BJP led NDA government and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for cheating Andhra people. The ruling parties made the promise of special status to Andhra.  But,  the two parties took U turn on its promises.

As result, the state did not get special funds and also incentives to the industries coming up in Andhra Pradesh,  Reddy said took strong exception to the arrests of leaders fighting for special status.

Raptadu Assembly Constituency  party Coordinator T Prakash Reddy  and Anantapur Coordinator Nadeem Ahmed alleged that centre stopped the release of funds under special package as Chandrababu government misused the money alloted earlier. The only leader fighting for special status in Andhra is the party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.  Special status will help to avail many benefits including more GST and incentives.
