YSRCP seeks disqualification of SPY Reddy

Delhi, June 13, 2014: YSRCP submitted a
petition to the Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan seeking disqualification of
MP SPY Reddy who won from Nandyala on YSRCP ticket and defected to TDP.

Congress Parliamentary party leader Mekapati Rajamohana Reddy told the Speaker
in his letter that the defection of SPY Reddy attracts the provisions of Clause
2 (1) (a) of the tenth schedule of the Constitution.
“He
should be disqualified immediately,” Rajamohana Reddy requested the Speaker in
his petition. “ I have submitted all the documents in support of my petition,”
he told reporters later.
